OES Japan offers eight levels of online General English – Premium courses, ranging from Pre-Elementary to Advanced. Each complete level contains between 60 to 80 hours of study time. Each unit is designed around a topic and is divided into 16 sections. These sections include reading,

Each student is assigned a personal tutor who will help and support them during the course. Students will send the writing tutorials to their tutor for comments, corrections and evaluation. Students will also talk to their tutor in real time to practise speaking and pronunciation. The combination of motivating material, tutor support and a wide variety of exercise types contribute to an enjoyable and rewarding language learning experience.

Some projects:

Esteve, a chemical-pharmaceutical group, is aware of the importance of English for doctors in the current multi-cultural world. The exponential increase in English-speaking residents in countries like Spain has meant that doctors are often ill-equipped, linguistically speaking, to communicate effectively with these patients. As a result Net Languages in collaboration with Esteve has developed an important range of English for Doctors courses and successfully trained hundreds of doctors.

Esteve can now offer their clients practical help not only to improve their English language skills, but also to help them perform more effectively in their jobs.

The Catalan Broadcasting Corporation believes in the effectiveness of blended learning. They wanted to be able to combine the flexibility of online course content with face-to-face sessions, which would offer quality English language content and easy accessibility without forgoing the personal touch.

They decided that Net Languages offered a solution which met their needs, combining our General English courses divided into 60-hour blocks with 40-minute face-to-face tutorials per unit. Net Languages has created a booking-out system for students to reserve their face-to-face session as it suits them and the CCMA teachers.

English Pronunciation Practice
The courses, available at three levels, cover a wide range of pronunciation features at the word, phrase and sentence levels, focusing on sounds, stress and intonation. Learners are encouraged to record themselves doing the exercises and then compare their version with the original recording.
English Listening Practice
Three levels of listening practice activities cover a wide range of useful and interesting topic areas and formats, including monologues, discussions, songs and stories. Listening material is in either audio or video formats, and learners are supported during the course by feedback, transcripts and exercise answers.

Net Languages has won public tenders to provide online language learning solutions to governmental organisations in many different countries including Spain, Jordan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Of course, each public tender has its own characteristics so we always tailor our services to suit each project. We have never been faced with a request that we couldn't fulfil. And we have never failed to deliver our solution on schedule.

  • In two other countries we have provided online language tuition with tutorials and Learner Management System support to large numbers of civil servants.

Learner Management System

People studying with Net Languages access the courses via Net Languages's own Learner Management System (LMS). This system was custom-developed by Net Languages to provide students, tutors and training managers with an easy-to-use interface to the course materials, communication tools and reporting systems.

Because Net Languages developed and owns the LMS, we are able to modify the system to suit each project's particular requirements. Each company/government/educational client is provided with a customised login page with their logo and any relevant information about the courses their employees or students will be studying. Training departments are provided with administrative access codes which, through a series of filters, allow them to select and track their students' progress through the course as they need. The tracking information is also easily exported into Excel documents.

Tutor access allows both Net Languages tutors and external tutors to contact their students using the internal mail program, monitor student progress and record tutorial marks on the students' progress form.

We can also provide a transparent login system, which means that users can log in to the system directly from companies' Web pages rather than from a different Web site.
